Why this blog?

We are two friends in Auckland, New Zealand, who have discovered that kayaking is amazing.

As we discovered our love for kayaking, we wanted to go on adventures. The first place to look for inspiration was good old Google, but so many sites we found were either for commercial kayaking operations or club outings.

The best and most helpful websites were by ordinary people like ourselves, documenting where they went, what happened and sharing what worked and didn't. These sites were few and far between.

So, as well as a way for us to document our own adventures, we hope that some of you may read them, be inspired and use what we have done to help you on some kayak trips of your own.
